Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) Organized a workshop «The Official Launch of National Consumer Protection Programme (NCPP) and Implementing Regulations»

(Phnom Penh): On the morning of July 12, 2022, Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF), Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with the German International Cooperation (GIZ) organized a workshop “The Official Launch of the National Consumer Protection Programme (NCPP) and Implementing Regulations” at Hyatt Regency Hotel Under the high presidency of His Excellency Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the National Committee for Consumer Protection (NCCP).

The workshop was attended by His Excellency, Lok Chumteav, Permanent Vice President, Vice President, and Members of the National Committee for Consumer Protection (NCCP), Neakoknha and President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the ASEAN Working Group of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in Cambodia, Oknha, Ladies and Gentlemen. The representatives from the legal sector, representatives from development partners, representatives from the ASEAN Consumer Protection Project (PROTECT), Australian Competition and Consumer Committee (ACCC), representatives of national and international organizations, representatives of research institutes from various universities, representatives of the private sector, representatives of the media and officials of the CCF Directorate-General, Ministry of Commerce, as well as video participants.

The purpose of this workshop is to disseminate and launch the National Program on Consumer Protection and implementing regulation are assembled after the Consumer Protection Law and other regulations have been approved. This programme is consequence as a roadmap for all stakeholders to develop policies, action plans and implementation mechanisms for their organizations, adhering to the protection rights and user interests.
