About CCF

Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF), ever known as CAMCONTROL Directorate-General, is an organization under the Ministry of Commerce and was established by the Sub Decree 38 dated on 16th March 2020 on the Organizations and Functions of Ministry of Commerce.

OUR HISTORY CCF

The Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) has evolved progressively, through the following stages:

  • In 1983, this unit was established and named as the Cambodia Import-Export Inspection Company (CAMCONTROL Company);
  • In 1992, the Royal Government of Cambodia decided to rename the Cambodia Import-Export Inspection Company to the Cambodia Import-Export and Fraud Inspection Office (CAMCONTROL Office) under the Ministry of Commerce;
  • In 1997, the CAMCONTROL Office was converted by the Royal Government of Cambodia to the Import-Export Inspection and Fraud Repression Department (CAMCONTROL Department) under the Ministry of Commerce;
  • In 2008, as fully supported by the Royal Government of Cambodia, the CAMCONTROL Department was upgraded to the Cambodia Import-Export Inspection and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CAMCONTROL Directorate-General), under the Ministry of Commerce; and
  • Since 2020, in accordance with the in-depth reforms of the Royal Government of Cambodia, this CAMCONTROL Directorate-General was renamed as the Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) under the Ministry of Commerce.

As mandated by the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Vision of Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General is that:

  • The fair competition of business environment is promoted;
  • Fraud activities are minimized;
  • The standard of living of our citizen is promoted
  • Economic growth is promoted.
  • Human welfare is promoted

Our Mission

The mission of Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) is to:

  • Ensure the quality and safety of products and services for the protection of consumer’s health and safety;
  • Ensure the protection of consumers’ economic interests;
  • Ensure the fair competition environment of doing business in Cambodia;
  • Ensure the compliance of the regulatory requirements related to the quality and safety of products and services.
